BANGKAPOS.COM, BALI-The world's tin price that this year was at 13,000 dollars / ton, is currently climbing above 19,000 dollars / ton.
It is estimated that world tin prices continue to rise to above 20,000 dollars / ton.
"We predict the price of tin can be above 20,000 dollars per metric ton, 21,000 dollars per tonne I think it can really be this year let alone leak issues handled. Now the world's tin price is at 19,000 dollars per tonne. This year the price is indeed 13,000 dollars, "said Chairman of Indonesia Timah Exporters Association (AETI) Jabin Sufianto in the event of Indonesia Tin Conference and Exhibition 2016 in Nusa Dua Bali, Monday (19/09/2016).
He explained that the trend of world tin prices did show an encouraging and increasing development.
There are several factors that affect the rise of world tin prices, Myanmar's macro is currently at the peak of production and smelters in China are closing and the lack of tin sand production from Bangka Island.
"The three factors caused the price of tin to rise. So half gambling. Tin price trends will mostly rise, even reportedly PT Timah has raised the purchase price of tin sands. Heard from 185,000 per kilo to about 210,000 per kilo. If we do not dare to lose, because the calculation is still a loss, "said Jabin.
Jabin said AETI itself currently has 25 members and all ICDX members.
