Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The government and private parties will soon operate a logistics-bound center (PBL) specifically for tin commodities or ICDX logistics provide (ILB). With ILB, importers and buyers no longer need to store their lead in other countries such as Singapore, but in Indonesia.
ILB President Director Henry Chandra said that Singapore has been a favorite place for importers and producers to keep their tin bought from Indonesia. As a result, Indonesia lost the potential state revenue from tin storage to reach US $ 16 million per year or around Rp 209.90 billion (exchange rate assumption Rp 13,118 per US dollar).
"Every year we lose US $ 16 million with our goods (tin) in Singapore," he said in The Capitol, Jakarta, Thursday (18/08/2016).
But this is not expected to happen anymore. Henry said it had set up a logistic bonded area called ILB for tin storage. Later, tin produced in Indonesia will be sold through the Indonesian Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (ICDX) commodity exchanges and banned at ILB.
Henry stated that this ILB has been built in Marunda area, North Jakarta with a land area of about 15,141 square meters and a building area of 1,200 square meters. "The one in Maruda has become, that is the warehouse we rent. It's ready to operate, hopefully this year, "he said.
Operation of this ILB, continued Henry, still waiting for technical rules from the Directorate General of Customs and Excise Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu). This rule will protect tin products stored at ILB from changes in government regulations.
"So this will be immune, because people will keep this tin raw materials need certainty. The technical guidance (technical guidance) from Customs, probably just this October. As soon as the technical guidance goes straight, it can work, "he said. (Dny / Ahm)
